Irwin Crocodile Lapel Pin

We saw one – yes, that’s right – a real crocodile. We sat there with a pen and pad and sketched it over 300 times. Each version got better and better. Day and night we sat there, feverishly sketching, shirts soaked with sweat until this guy with a smooth, swirly moustache came up to us and said, ‘enough’. That’s when we knew we had designed a more than OK Irwin Crocodile Lapel Pin. In all this time we rudely neglected to ask this croc his name though, so we chose to call this reptile ‘Irwin’ as a tribute to our favourite friend to the animal kingdom.

 

The hand-crafted approach allows the Irwin Crocodile Lapel Pin to show extraordinary detail as there is little machinery used in the crafting of this pin. Touches such as these make all the difference. Saltwater crocodiles are huge in stature, territorial and found in plentiful amounts across the northern Australian Outback. Inspired by our Aussie Outback and the man that made it his life’s work.
